Announcement for Amazon VAT Transactions Report

AVTR will soon update more frequently and include two new columns

If you retrieve the Amazon VAT Transactions Report (AVTR; reportType: GET_VAT_TRANSACTION_DATA) on behalf of your sellers, here’s what’s changing and what to do to prepare.

What’s changing:
  1. Reports can update after retrieval. AVTR is no longer a static monthly file. You can retrieve an updated report during the month, with the most recent data available up to three days before the request date. New data can still arrive after you have already retrieved a report, though most transactions are processed within approximately 30 days of the period end. Retrieve the report again for the same period to get the latest data.
  2. Two new columns are added. TRANSACTION_UPDATED_DATE shows the date (UTC) a transaction was last updated. GOV_INVOICE_ID shows the government-assigned e-invoice identifier. It is populated only for Poland (KSeF) today and is blank for all other transactions.

Backward compatibility: The two new columns, TRANSACTION_UPDATED_DATE and GOV_INVOICE_ID, are appended at the end of the report, after the existing columns. Column order and names for existing fields stay the same. If your ingestion reads columns by name, or tolerates extra trailing columns, no change is required.

What you need to do:
  • Confirm your ingestion supports two additional columns without errors.
  • Use TRANSACTION_UPDATED_DATE to detect updated records.

Phased availability: The change rolls out in phases. Your sellers are enabled over time. Until a seller is enabled, their reports are unchanged.
