The Amazon Service Provider Network supports Amazon sellers across 19 distinct service categories - covering everything from product photography and logistics to tax compliance and account management. Each category represents a specific area where sellers need professional support, and where qualified service providers can build a sustainable, scalable business.

Whether your company specializes in a single discipline or operates across multiple service areas, understanding SPN’s category structure is the first step to identifying where you fit - and how to position your business for maximum visibility in the provider directory.

Choosing the Right Category (or Categories)

When applying to SPN, you’ll be asked to select the service categories that best reflect your business. A few things to keep in mind:

Be accurate, not aspirational. Select only the categories that reflect services you currently offer and can deliver at a professional level. Amazon’s vetting process evaluates your actual capabilities - applying for categories outside your core competency can delay or complicate your application.

Multi-category providers are welcome. If your business genuinely operates across multiple categories (for example, a full-service agency offering account management, advertising optimization, and cataloging), you can apply for all relevant categories in a single application. Each category will have its own registration form and may have its own qualification criteria.

Category selection affects your directory visibility. Your chosen categories determine which sellers find you when searching the SPN directory. Choosing accurately and completely ensures you appear in the right searches - and that the sellers who contact you are genuinely looking for what you offer.

Not Sure Where You Fit?

If your services span multiple categories or don’t map cleanly to a single category, the best approach is to apply for the categories that most closely match your core offerings. The SPN support team can help clarify eligibility during the application process.
