Frequently asked questions

How do I get started integrating with this feature?
To get started as a developer, you need to request the "Notifications in Seller Central" role for your developer profile. Once this role is approved, it will enable the App Integrations self-service feature for your application, allowing you to create and manage notification templates.
What types of notifications are not allowed?
The following notification categories are not permitted:

1. Notifications that explicitly mention the name of a non-Amazon sales channel. Providing details or a summary of a non-Amazon channel is acceptable, as long as the channel name is not explicitly mentioned.

2. Notifications that are too granular in nature and could result in an excessive number of notifications being displayed to the Selling Partner. Summarized content is preferred over highly detailed, granular notifications.

3. Promotional notifications that invite the Selling Partner to try or adopt new features or products that would require additional cost or fees from the seller.

4. Promotional notifications that invite the Selling Partner to try new products or features that are not part of what they have already signed up for or is not directly relevant to their current business needs.
How can I get access to the AppIntegrations API?
To access the AppIntegrations API, you need to have the "Notifications in Seller Central" role configured for your application. This role grants the necessary permissions to programmatically send notifications to Selling Partners through the API. Refer to AppIntegrations API use case guide to learn more on using the API.
Where do Selling Partners view the notifications in Seller Central?
Selling Partners will be able to access the notifications you send through the App Notifications Homepage Card in Seller Central. Clicking on the card takes them into a single consolidated view of notifications.
